Wine Down at Warwick for Freedom Day
Get creative at Warwick on Freedom Day. Their Paint & Sip presents a morning of painting with red wine as a medium, with artist Lily Brannon as your facilitator. The end product will be to create your own protea works of art. This event is also for a good cause, Call 2 Care, which improves lives through educational outreach projects. Tickets cost R600 and can be booked here. The price includes one of Warwick’s delicious picnic baskets with a glass of wine.
Women for Change Trail Run
On Freedom Day, the Women for Change 5km Trail Run is happening at the stunning Cape Point Vineyards in Noordhoek. The aim is to bring together women from all kinds of communities, and to stand united for a better future for especially women and children. Starting time is at 8am and entries include a race pack for both adults and children. The run is walk and kid friendly. You can enter for the run here.
Die Heuwels Fantasties concert
On Monday 26th of April, popular band Die Heuwels Fantasties will be performing at Lomond Wine Estate. It promises to be a wonderful event, with music and wine next to the dam. There will also be tents where food and drinks will be sold. The gates open at 9h30 and the show starts at 12h. There are limited seats available, at a first come first served basis, but picnic blankets and camping chairs are welcome. Tickets cost R250 and include a wine glass.
Anton Goosen & Albert Frost
The Daisy Jones bar at Summerhill Wine Estate will be hosting legend “Liedjieboer” Anton Goosen – his first live concert since lockdown on Friday 23 April. With Albert Frost, the duo will be performing songs from Goosen’s 40 year long music career. Tickets are limited at R180 online or R200 at the door. Doors open at 6pm and the show will start at 8pm. Pizzas and burgers will be available for purchase.
