The great thing about Stellenbosch is that there is so much to do. With so many coffee shops and wine farms to choose from, it’s often easy to just enjoy the same things Stellenbosch has to offer.
Many times, there are some lovely new places that open up, but word doesn’t reach you in time. Luckily, we’re on the pulse!
For a different type of fun and relaxation, why not visit the Ceramic Cafe?
Located on Sweetwell Farm on the R44, the Ceramic Cafe offers a rustic creative experience. With a small studio fee, guests can choose from a variety of ceramic bisque objects, select their paint colours, and leisurely sip on something hot while they turn a mug or a plate into a beautiful object they’re proud to take home.
This is a great activity for families, friends or even a solitary experience. Situated on a farm, it gives you the perfect feeling of being far away from the bustle of the centre of town, but not too far a drive.
Kids will enjoy interacting with the various farm animals – geese, ducks and chickens. Afterwards, you can enjoy a meal at the Sweetwell restaurant, and enjoy their lovely fireplace.
If you plan on going on a typical Cape winter’s day, do take your Wellies along – it’s a true farm experience!
Once you’ve handed in your painted work, it will take a week before it’s ready for collection.
