Natural inspiration

Stellenbosch florist Hermien Coetzee from Flowers in the Foyer finds inspiration from nature as a way to beautify her living space.

And now that spring has sprung, the world is bursting with an abundance of fragrant jasmine, voluptuous peonies, delicate sweet peas, freesia, just to name a few.

With such a rich source of flora at my disposal, I love using clippings from the garden (such as flowering quince blossom branches and untamed wild banksia roses) to add to our bouquets, giving them a truly unique look and feel.

At the end of the day, I can say one thing with certainty: There are few things in life as beautiful as a wild spring bunch to lift the spirit and refresh the soul!
